A Letter To Myself

It's a reminiscence of an epiphany I had of myself, well, of the writer in me when I will be old and frail. Will I remember my own words?
This one is..
A Letter To Myself

Will you remember this time?
Words that flew from pages,
And stuck on to the walls of your heart,
The warmth you felt, the comfort it gave,
I hope these don't wash away with time..

Will you pick up these pages again?
Feel the folds on the skin,
The ink smudged across with tears,
Every word heavy with emotion,
I hope you don't let these fade away..

Will you fall in love with these words again?
When you're old and frail,
Pick these words and feelings,
String them together,
I hope you don't lose them before that..

Pictures that I live through now,
They will be alive in your memory,
But when you are old, and
Can't help remembering these,
Remember then that you were happy,
That you were surrounded with love,
That you were surrounded by people who read this with you..

Smile and hold this piece of heart,
Remember that life was good,
Despite what came after this..
Hold it close and breathe in your swollen heart,
Just live and be okay..
